Learn From My Mistake So Your Boudoir Photoshoot Doesn’t Suck.
I had the worst experience the first time I had my own boudoir photoshoot. I don’t want you to have a similar experience.
Here's the tea 🍵
I did not do any research when I searched for a boudoir photograph for the first time. That was my biggest mistake.
I booked with her on an impulse and didn’t even look into other boudoir photographers.
I didn't look around on anyone's social media to get to know their personality.
The photographer I booked with and I did not vibe with at all. Our personalities were not compatible, and that caused the energy of the session to be way off.
I did not feel comfortable during the shoot, and you could see it in the photos.
I didn't figure out what style of photos I like. As you can see from my work, I like darker lighting and a dreamy feel. The photographer I booked edited very bright, and the photos look stiff. With a little effort I would have been able to find a photographer that has the style that I love and that would have helped my love my photos even more!
I didn't educate myself on posing or the little details. Now, this one isn't as easily noticed as what I've already mentioned, but once you are aware of it, it can totally change the game for your photos. There are little detail changes you can make in a pose to make them so much better looking. Things as simple as lifting your chin slightly, arching your back a little more, lowering your eyes, fixing your hair, etc.
Y'all. My bangs were messed up in almost every photo 😭 and my shoulders were slumped in a few poses. Such simple fixes that would have made the experience better!!!

I booked that photoshoot as an introduction into the boudoir world to see if I wanted to pursue it.
It was such a bad experience that I almost didn't.
After much thought, I decided to become a b0udoir photographer and be the change that I wanted to see. that sounds cheesy, but it's true. I wanted to create the experience for others that I wish I had.
So, I will fix your hair. I will ask you to roll your shoulders back. I will talk to you. I will do everything in my power to help you feel comfortable.
