I heard someone say something this weekend that really bothered me. I was having a conversation with some women about how I'm trying to work on healing my body and address the fertility issues I've been having. (I have PCOS and haven't had a period in 8 months) One of the girls I was talking with said something like, "Ugh freaking women's bodies. They suck. It's so hard. " Which, yeah... it has been hard. But I'm not mad at my body. There is an imbalance, and my body is not ovulating because the imbalance creates a not good environment for a baby. I can't be mad at my body for protecting me and my future children. That anger and stress won't fix the situation. I am trying to listen to my body. Eat good nutrient dense food when I'm hungry, move my body when I feel like I need to move, and rest when I need to rest. Our bodies know how to be bodies better than we do. 👆Read that last sentence again👆 I believe so so strongly that as we understand that, our lives will improve. We will become partners with our body instead of always fighting our body. I don't know about you, but I'm tired of fighting my body.
